This yarn has distinct ply characteristics. These warps are hand-dyed. The colors in the photo are approximate. Each warp will be unique.
This yarn is 3900 yards per pound which is slightly larger than a 10/2. It wraps at about 40 wpi. I would sett it at 24 epi or even a little tighter to show it off in the warp. Suggestion only! I love the way it dyes with a barber pole effect due to the cotton and the rayon plies having different characteristics. The wrap ply dyes brightly with huge luster. The core ply dyes more subtly and softly with no luster. Just wonderful! This is perhaps the softest yarn I offer.
The warps are wound generously in a longer length than listed. The length indicated here is approx length after the shrinkage from the dye process. Each warp has a white info tag located at the cross. There are loops at the beginning and at the end of the warps. I tie the warp in 5 places: at beginning and ending loops, the cross and two choke ties near each end. If you need more ties to secure it due to your personal setup techniques, add more. Please look over them carefully when you get them. If they will not work for you, please return them in their original condition for a refund or exchange. There is no refund on shipping costs.
I try to catch knots & other distractions as I wind. Sometimes they get by me, so I encourage you to design your weaving project saving one thread from the warp bundle for a repair thread if need be.This yarn is colorfast in normal use. Do not bleach or use in prolonged sunlight. I boil it and rinse a minimum of 4 or 5 times, but there might still be a little color in your water the first time you wash them. When combining warps that include dark colors and whites, wash in color water with color catcher the first time.
Shipping will be added at check out. An additional 5% of product price will be added to orders sent to countries other than the USA. (Minimum of $5) This can be avoided if you have an address in the US to which your warps can be shipped.
