Stay in the conversation I have temporarily disabled my store to account for an on-site pop-up event going on this week in my studio. Please come back after the weekend!

Sister Warps – Jewels (8/2 Thick&Thin Tencel)

$153.00

Set of 2 Coordinating Hand-dyed Tencel Warps by Kathrin Weber of Blazing Shuttles.

These are part of the “Sister Warp” series. Sister Warps are warps in coordinating colors that I dye with the plan that they will be used together in a single project. These are in warp chains 7.5 yards long and consist of 200 threads each – total 400 threads. Of course, even though I dyed them to coordinate in a single project, how you actually choose to use them is your choice! Feel free to use them as a unit or independently.

The warp is a beautiful, 8/2 Tencel. After dyeing this yarn, I have rinsed it several times, boiled it and then rinsed again until the rinse water ran clear. Because of its depth of shade, I suggest using a color catcher in the wash to capture any stray color. I would not mix this warp with a white or extremely light warp in case of slight color bleeding. The warps are wound generously in a longer length than listed. The length indicated here is approx length after the shrinkage from the dye process. Sett approx 18-24. Suggestion only. These warps are hand-dyed. No two will be identical.

Shipping will be added at check out. An additional 5% of product price will be added to orders sent to countries other than the USA. (Minimum of $5) This can be avoided if you have an address in the US to which your warps can be shipped.

Each warp has a white info tag located at the cross. There are loops at the beginning and at the end of the warps. I tie the warp in 5 places: at beginning and ending loops, the cross and two choke ties near each end. If you need more ties to secure it due to your personal setup techniques, add more. Please look over them carefully when you get them. If they will not work for you, please return them in their original condition for a refund or exchange. There is no refund on shipping costs.

I try to catch knots & other distractions as I wind. Sometimes they get by me, so I encourage you to design your weaving project saving one thread from the warp bundle for a repair thread if need be.This yarn is colorfast in normal use. Do not bleach or use in prolonged sunlight. I boil it and rinse a minimum of 4 or 5 times, but there might still be a little color in your water the first time you wash them. When combining warps that include dark colors and whites, wash in color water with color catcher the first time.
